It is the so...Yes Laurisa the wood is fairly soft. It is the softest wood I've used for carving. In the past I've used rock maple and walnut. I'm finding the softness of the wood poses challenges and I keep thinking I'd rather be using the rock maple when it comes to delicate detail. It's realy coming along. you must use a ...Wow! It's realy coming along. you must use a soft wood I imagine. Pyrography can be tricky because you can't erase a burn but it may be worth a shot.
